If I webhost myself, is there a bandwidth cap? (Ie: Yahoo’s Merchants services only provides 500gb/month)?

It might be dependent upon the bandwidth provided by your ISP. Check with them

It’s usually not a good idea to host from your house. A DSL connection is not going to be fast enough to deliver to that amount of traffic. Remember that most DSL lines cap upload amounts, so it could be even slower. Your best bet would be to rent a dedicated server (100 a month for a decent one) at any number of serverfarms.
